News From the Packinghouse

It’s officially summer at G&S Packing Company!  No, it’s not June 21^st yet, we are just excited to announce the kick-off of our summer shipping program.  We are thrilled to offer a variety of Florida valencia, mango, and avocado gift packs.  We are already accepting orders and will begin shipments tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16^th.  All shipments will be via Federal Express 2-3 day Express Shipping.  The shipping schedule will be every Tuesday during the summer months with a cut-off of mid-day Monday for orders to reach us.    

The available varieties are as follows:

MANGOS

We are currently shipping Tommy Adkins, but will continue to review other varieties of mangos as they become available.  Your cost for both styles 9Y and 9VY is $20.00 per pack.  We recommend you charge $14.99 + $10 S/H ($4.99 profit), or $19.99 + $10 S/H ($9.99 profit).

AVOCADOS

We are extremely excited to offer a complete Florida pack (9VYZ) which consists of Florida avocados, mangos, and valencia’s.  We have not yet received final pricing from our avocado supplier; however, we anticipate a cost of $25.00 for each of the packs listed above.  We will forward a confirmed price as soon as possible. 

You will notice that we are offering extremely aggressive pricing on all of our summer packs to help jump-start your selling potential.  Please be advised that we will not offer tiered pricing during the summer shipping season; all of our customers will receive the same price schedule.     

All mango packs will include an information sheet on ripening and storing, and will also include a website that your recipients may visit for recipes, storage, and preparation ideas.  (www.mango.org).

We cannot ship citrus packs to AZ, CA, HI, LA, TX, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands.
